some guy when chess was first created probably died after winning a game of chess. So that guy would hold the longest winning streak ever.

Never let them know your next move, capablanca.

Mikhail Tal and Kasparov with Karpov

Nothing beats your grandpa when you were a little kid.

    My favorite was Tal.

I like how he would throw all his material in the trash and still checkmate his opponent.

Bro, imagine being in the shoes of the guy the moment they broke that streak

New update on my rating: losing streak currently, I am down to 590

I know my opinion won't be shared by many, but to me the greatest of all time is Paul Morphy. I understand the modern champions are much better in terms of precision and pure strength, but to me he is the reason why every strong player today is strong: he is the giant on whose shoulders everyone else is standing.

he‘s the goat. Y‘all talking about kasparov is the goat. Sorry Bobby. But Magnus is the true goat. He proved in so many different ways. If you don‘t agree. Play cricket and cry

Call me stupid but I think that Tal was really one of the best

    Me playing vs Magnus Carson*

Magnus: you made a blunder 💀

That's the greatest non-losing streak. What's the actual greatest winning streak?

I am the chess goat (my opponent blundered backrank mate and I saw it)

It’s impossible to say. The prep is so different now than even 10-15 years ago. Computers changed everything.

The greatest winning streak in all of sports is jahangir khan's winning streak of 555 matches in squash. His first game was when he was 17. He didnt loose for 5 years while claiming 5 world open titles.

I often think that I could be the greatest 900 elo blitz chess player to ever walk the earth

Magnus is fine, I guess, but he's not cheeky enough. Frank better 100%

It’s obviously Magnus, not even the slightest doubt.

    The goat is definitely…
