Kramnik did go to high school. In Soviet Union there was no "elementary, middle, and high" school. There was just "school" which covers the US equivalent of "high school".

Alot of smoke … Didn't hikari say in the past if he got accused of cheating he would just laugh it off if he was in hans situation if he wasn't cheating. He seems to be defending himself more than needed when he said something different during the hans situation.

Some will be saying “Wait, wasn’t there also no evidence that Hans Niemann was cheating?”—the difference of course is that Hans was already a proven and admitted cheater previously… which makes a very big difference.

I love that Kramnik has put himself in this position where he claims to have overwhelming evidence that Hikaru is cheating. If he can't prove that Hikaru is cheating, then he loses everything.

I fully agree that accusing without real evidence is not acceptable. This applies to everyone, Hikaru included.

You know, I have to say: I think I did have the assumption that great chess players are probably naturally really smart, the sort of people who would excel at all areas in school naturally. This discussion has disabused me of this notion. The mistakes that Kramnik is making strike me as mistakes that are really easy to see for anyone with a decent high school education.

So, as my chesscom rating is about 400 lower than Kramnik, if I play him 46 games of 3/0 and lose all them, which is the most appropriate response: a. say fair enough, he's a lot better than me b. Kramnik MUST BE CHEATING! c. berate myself for not flagging him in any of the games seeing as he's slow af ? c. probably 😂
When Kramnik says that the truth can't be hidden from people with decent IQs, he's not wrong 😂.
I'm not even a mathematician (just an undergrad engineering student) but I understand enough about stats to be able to look at the presented data and know that Hikaru is not an anomaly and also that Kramnik doesn't know what he's talking about.
If he truly believes that the people posting stats are bots he wouldn't be deleting their posts. If the information is incorrect, like he says, people who have half a critical brain will know.
Not only is it disrespectful to so many people who have taken time to look at the data and the situation for themselves, by deleting their posts and calling people bots, he shows just how much of a "sore loser" he is in not wanting to admit his mistakes.
Yes it sucks to do so at times, but we all make mistakes. As an influencer, it is even more important for him to own up and set the right example.
At this point, Kramnik needs professional help….but not mathematicians.
With every post that has no credible data or references to competent sources Kramnik is digging a deeper hole for himself. It really pitty.

I said this once and I'll say it again: when you yourself have the habit of cheating and you manage to get away with it, you start seeing cheaters everywhere. In your mind every minor thing you do while cheating becomes an evidence of other people cheating, even when the relation is tangential at best. Kramnik may very well have been cheating "just to see how easy it'd be", now he's seeing ghosts everywhere and pointing fingers at everyone.
So he has given up showing "maths" and started insulting people who don't agree. When will he claim Hikaru being jewish and is plotting against humanity? This circus show is becoming unexpectedly hilarious.
Perhaps instead of providing false statistical analysis and unprovable suspicions, Kamnick could provide a how the cheating is being performed. Ive watch many of GM Hikaru’s videos. I don’t thinks its possible. GM Hikaru is an absolute legend of chess, with a proven track record of greatness. You think Magnus, the greatest chess player of all time would have stayed quiet if after there games he felt cheating was going on!? Kramnik should stop this non-sense and apologize ASAP.

The fact is that when Hikaru was winning, he wasn't playing 46 games with 46 different people.
many games were repetitive with the same person. So it's very normal to get Hikaru's record if you are good enough in chess
Kramnik is clearly not taking his pills, he's overcompensating with these cheating allegations because he himself was accused of cheating years ago.
I know blitz is different from classical BUT Hikaru is in great form to potentially win Candidates. Why would he risk all that to beat some IMs? It feels like a concertated effort to discredit him and I would not be surprised if Nepo and others are involved.

i agree with everything hikaru is saying, on little thing that irked me was that Elon Musk could get hundreds of thousands of online bots to manipulating lots of things, and relatively speaking Elon is no where near being one of the most powerful people. Kramnik is doing a good thing by bringing attention to cheating in professional chess, but he is going about it the wrong way.
