I agree that there needs to be civility in forums – it's a game after all. However, it is not farfetched that Kramnik brought it on himself by showing aggression towards Hikaru and then towards other people who showed support or disagreed with him. A saying I learnt in varsity: if you start firing, you better get ready to eat a few bullets. I'll say he's gotten a taste of his own medicine.

Kramnik is a flawed human being like you and I, but his crusade is a noble one, we do need more fairness in OTB chess and online too. He's just pushing it too hard. I work with stats a lot. Kramnik is exhibiting some extreme dunning Kruger effect here. Stats often don't make sense unless you are well versed in the maths.
