The thing about chess is that you can play moves with an idea in mind . You might not see it's the best move ,but it turns out it was .. having that happen a bunch of times in a row isn't uncommon.
The word Spared seems proper, but, in all fairness, if you two had a 5-20min game, this would be a win with this position, but getting here with limited time has gotten them there. Therefore, you'd need to test his nerve, and honestly, I think once relaxed he could've thought out some top engine moves until the end. He has a future in learning things deeply, hopefully life gives him the path to succeed and make the right choices ! never give up learning.

They sound similar and both involve strong hands, but slow playing means you don't bet, slow rolling comes after the betting is done and it's time to show down your hand and drag the pot. The other guy turns over his hand and you act like you can't beat it until you slow roll. Very poor etiquette but if done properly can be quite funny. Slow playing isn't rude, just a little tricky.

As a 1000, I would have missed knight takes pawn and played bishop takes (getting myself brutalized) and would have missed the intermittent king check before taking the pawn in the end, but otherwise this is all principled stuff I would have found.

Damn. I could play that kid 10 minutes for me versus a minute 30, and he'd kick my ass. Heck, I could get classical time control and he'd still win. That kid is awesome. Also, a future gigachad for sparing Levy by making a draw because it was more humiliating than just mating him.
I mean, in real speed chess you should be playing with a buffer on time per turn, right? to account for the physical movement. So a +0.5 or something should be pretty fair imo.
