Magnus Carlsen Invented A New Chess Opening

Magnus Carlsen Invented A New Chess Opening – The Plough! Magnus Carlsen repeatedly played pawn to h4, which I’m calling the plough, in Titled Tuesday Chess, 7th November, late tournament on chess.com. Alireza Firouzja was his opponent in this epic game of chess.

accent is brilliant, makes the commentary enjoyable. Magnus is a God, brilliant thinker

THAT ENDING, THOUGH. lol I won't spoil it because it needs to be seen to be believed. And just as his opponent was literally in the process of being flagged. Wow. Talk about a spanking!

Really poor play from Alireza. He overcomplicated the opening whereas he could have just responded the 1…h4 with d5 and get a very easy draw in the very least.

Happy to see your channel growing!! Awesome videos one after another

If Magnus had offered a draw after brutalizing his opponent with the plow it would have been the most gangster game of chess ever.

“Agreed to a draw” I damn near jumped into the screen to start throwing hands! You got me good!

Sir you get a like and a follow just for that explaination of profilaxis

I wonder how he thought about this kind of attack and literally there was no answer to it by many great players.

I want to see Magnus Carlsen playing it against Hikaru who is closed to him

"He doesnt find any of them" bro had 10 secs… hahah

I'm surprised people haven't at least done the prep for the first 6 moves of this, given he's played it several times.

If this Magnus guy keeps it up, he’ll make a good chess player one day.

"And here the players agreed to a draw"
Man, you had me going there!

προφψλάσσω to protect ahead of time. The "pro" part also comes from Greek.

    1. h4 a6 2. e4 b5 (2… d5 3. exd5 c6 4. dxc6 Nxc6 5. Bc4 e5) 3. d4 Bb7 4. Bd3 (4. Nd2 e6 5. a4 c5 6. axb5 axb5 7. Rxa8 Bxa8 8. Bxb5 cxd4) 4… e6 5. Nf3 c5 6. c3 Nf6 7. Qe2 cxd4 (7… Qc7 8. Bg5 Nc6 9. Nbd2 Ng4 10. d5) 8. cxd4 Nc6 9. Nc3 Ng4 (9… Be7 10. O-O Rc8 11. Re1 Ng4)

LOL! "and here the players agreed to a draw" Ha!!

He will never beat me!!! Coward won't even take my calls

The sickest part of that three-way fork is that you don’t even have to take the queen. It’s kg6 and then M2 with pawns after that.

I played the best game of my life with this opening lmao: 1 brilliancy, 4 great moves played by myself, but somehow 25% accuracy and and estimated elo of a 100 for both of us because of 20 blunders in total and 13 mistakes and inaccuracies. It was perfection.

My jaw jropped when you said they agreed to a jraw 😅

are you saying if he is a rookie and makes all mistakes needed for you to be succesful… you win?

Is Tilted Tuesday restricted to men? I just realized I never seen a women playing in TT.

Having to explain what connies mean in latin right in a chess game 😅 sorry I'm childish

In the spirit of tony miles beat karpov

Awesome game is such an understatement. Fantastic game! 🎉

That was truly impressive on Magnus' part.

Gotta like these fresh, if dubious, openings Magnus plays in blitz.

"And the players agreed to a draw." I nearly had a heart attack. Well done.

I think Magnus has some potential 😂🤙

The mid game was great as expected though it seems the opening greatly benefits from the very passive opening by his opponent.
