With respect to Fabi I would still love to see Hikaru wins. I really hope Him and Fabi, would meet at the finals.

nakamura over nepo after nepo won the last two candidates convincingly is interesting

By definition you can't put more than one person in the likely to win category

Why does Magnus do these interviews ?? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ left chess now spends his time talking trash on the sidelines .

Who is this guy and why would he know? ๐Ÿ˜‰

So this prediction was quite predictable but there are going to be surprises.

2 years, and everyone will be talking about Nodirbek Abdusattorov, as a new world champion in classical chess

Hikaru/Fabi vs Ding can be marketed the same way as Fisher vs Spassky. Looking forward for the candidates.

imagine being a player and playing sport in such a way , that you leave the most important tournament of the game coz you are bored of it and the ranking other players knowing in the mind that nobody of them can beat you. Just the most dominating person in sports rn in the world

well being an Indian I really want the Indian players to do well but practically mangus' prediction is absolutely correct I also think Fabi, Hikaru, and Nepo are the top 3 picks for the candidates.

Is Magnus being held hostage? Magnus: blink twice if you are being held against your will

Bro is looking like john cena with hair ๐Ÿคฃ

Rooting for Hikaru just because he lost to Ding after a really good candidates last time… 2nd favorite is Ian, would love to see him redeeming his loser image. A 3rd candidates win would be epic…

Was this interview the first thing Magnus wasn't late to?

Edit: nm, I just realized he didn't mentally arrive until 0:10

Alireza has the ability and talent to win….if he gets a good start he has a great chance

Ding vs hikaru or fabi, or nepo if he chooses to get wild, and no one young players atm has a shot

At the begging.. Magnus was analyzing in his head how in the heck he lost to a 10 year old in bullet ๐Ÿ˜

Basically, Magnus is saying that there is a huge gap between his generation and the new one. Well, I think he'll be surprised…

Howell hides his coming baldness well

Magnus hinting here that the quality of play in the last World Championship match was low.

I predict Pragg wins and goes on to beat Ding and become world champion.

I try to tell myself one or the other will win and then right away think, "yeah but…"

Interesting that 6 of the 8 are Asian and the winner plays an Asian. Definitely a huge rise from the continent.

I think Fabi is the favorite to win the candidate, but personally I'd like see a Hikaru-Ding championship match.

Great interview nice to hear Magnusโ€™s candid opinions of the players Chances I guess he feels Fabiano and Hikaru have best chances itโ€™ll be interesting to see if the one of the favorites do win or a dark horse comes over the finish line instead Looking forward to some Great games which Iโ€™m sure there will be with this talented group of players

Fabi vs Hikaru will be interesting! ๐ŸŽ‰ Whoโ€™s gonna fold under pressure first ๐Ÿ˜…

Hikaru and Caruana at top tier but both prone to mid-tournament crisis.
Ian always has the "If I am good, I am REALLY good" aura.
Alireza and Pragg are both significant dark horses.
The rest will really need Lady Luck on them and Bad Luck on others.

Hikaru or Fabi for the win!!!! I will support either!

Somehow I think Ding will be happier if he loses this November. Dude never look more depressed after winning the WCC.

And I feel obliged to support every other candidate that are NOT Fabi, Hikaru or Nepo

    "Magnus assesment is so accurate"

Meanwhile his assessment is basically putting these players top to bottom as per their ratings with just one swap of firouzja and Nepo

Of course his assessment is mathematically accurate. 0 surprise picks.
