When people start to see conspiracies they will see them all the time. A friend of mine, who has like me, a PhD in Philosophy started believing all kinds of crap. It became impossible to talk to him about anything. Kramnik reminded me a lot of him. Statistics included. (btw there are multiple books written on how to talk to conspiracy believers, pretty helpful these times)

Let me underline the cleverness of move 1.h4! against Seregka Zhigalko. It actually allowed the white king to escape at the end (7:10) with Kh2, otherwise with pawn on h2 it would be Kh1 Qf1+ Rxf1 Rxf1#, black checkmates. Magnus had seen it all!
