"And after takes, White is going to take, and then after takes, White is going to take…"

Sounds like 500 ELO players making one movers over and over. 😂

At 20mins 8secs is that a inaccuracy or great move

What about alpha zero? I thought it was stronger than stockfish

I'm sorry gotham but did you just say that torch played a yo mama London in the first game???

22:55 ah yes. Putting the dark square bishop on to a dark square. Thanks levi 😅

I saw the rook sacrifice before he called it. Does that make me 1,000,000 elo also?😂

To answer levys question Stockfish is British because he is clearly a bond villain

Didn't remember that off the top of your head, not a psychopath…. enter Mr. Carlsen

As someone who builds chess bots, I appreciate this video and believe it’s insights valuable

A little correction. A I is still no match for humans in anything, engines are. engines work with a set of boundaries, data and equations inserted onto them by humans and ofc are better than humans in speed, accuracy and quality on very specific tasks "most of those tasks can be done by humans but will take a much much longer time". A I on the other hand is from the name "Artificial Intelligence" adapts and learns. Chess A I is still not developed yet but u can say Chat GPT is an example of a chess A I. it learns through patterns and experience. Nothing so far can learn and adapt like human. it's borderline impossible to make A I cz it learns and adapt from us after all. I know u said don't comment but I'm not a programmer lol..

Does it make any difference that torch played white each game?

i am a computer developer and i worked on algorithms for chess/chess AI before and you do a wonderful job explaining in your videos of course not all technicalities are correct but most of them are and not all of them being correct is normal cause that is like asking an astronaut to be a well versed architect

Was waiting for levy to scream😂😂 the ROOOOOK

Was waiting for levy to scream😂😂

Pure savagery, what sorcery, what wizardry. Inspiring, educating and exciting. Good stuff. A new generation of human players "raised" by these bots and engines will surely up the ante even more, no kidding.

man see a doctor for your neck. that neck needs a doc

I do like seeing more top level engines, it makes it more interesting. I want to see more stockfish level engines battle it out. But it sucks that Torch isn’t open source.

if you told an AI that a draw was as bad as a loss, would it still play to a draw without an opening book?

Every start of the video gotham gives us a quick death glare

That first game was crazy. As a 1400 player that style of play might as well be some foreign language. I am left in the dust trying to figure out what it was even doing!

So about that "a chessbot that is going to be the answer to, hopefully, in the long run, stockfish" part:

Why would you want a proprietary piece of software, developed by a predatory company to win over a community driven, open source engine?

I hope that if torch ever gets good enough, it will only motivate everyone to put it back in it's place again.

17:21 I feel like it shouldn’t be surprising that a computer plays the top computer move lol

Alphazero: revolutionizes chess with its pawn sacrifices
    Torch: "pawns? youre weak"

Oh man I saw flames dude, those games were too much.

If the bots start from a given position, please indicate clearly which moves are from the book opening and where the engines are actually starting to play.

"How do you prevent your opponent from castling, is to by not letting them castle."
    -Levy Rozman

This video was very nicely edited and very entertaining. 10/10 video on content and everything in between.

I do actually do chess programming and I know how hard it is. – Incredible stuff this new engine!

is torch vs mittens possible? if not vs stockfish

I think this was a best video in the last month

Levy, why would remembering something off the top of your head make you a psychopath?

what happened to alphazero ? Did not it beat stockfish ?
