I think we all understand how it feels to be tilted. With that being said, I will say ,I’m sorry you lost approximately a decade of life expectancy in these 90 min. This was a REALLY hard video to watch. I’m aware that no one is all sunshine 100% of the time. However, the amount of negativity in this post actually made my day worse my guy. I watch this channel because you can teach while entertaining an audience. This wasn’t that.

And I don’t think any less of you as a player. The bots vary wildly in skill level throughout a game, you were prioritizing being instructional over trying your hardest in general, and you chose the flashy option for fun instead of the best option you saw a few times.

Watching Levy slow descend into madness is like watching the villains origin arc in an anime

levy this bombastic type of naming only works shorter videos for people will sacrifice 10 min because they are curious but for an hour you need to provide something better

This is just a theory, so I could be wrong, but I think the bots are programmed to use the engine, but then make a mistake x% of moves, so the higher the rank of the bot, the lower the percentage of mistakes. The higher rated ones seem to play theory for longer in the opening too, so a 1200 might play three book moves, and a 2200 might play seven.

They're obviously tweaked some after that, to give them "personalities," so some are better at defense, some at attacking, or positional games, openings, end games, etc.

But some of them are also way stronger than their ranking.

I dunno, just a thought. Great content, though, Levy, and mad respect for not cutting the losses out of the video. 🫡✌️

Edit I wrote that comment when there was about 10 minutes left in the video, so I hadn't seen the end. My guy Levy said "I'm sad, I'm going for a long walk." Five minutes later he said "I'm happy, I'm gonna take a nap." 😂

Memes aside for a moment. I think the rant near the end of the video about "speedrun ruined my day" is something to consider. One piece of advice I've seen passed down in the video game speedrun community, is that you should never pick a game you like to be your speed game. Because the process of speedrunning will make you hate it.
