I've noticed that in many games Magnus leaves his King in the center of the board for way longer than I would be comfortable.

At 11:02 I would play Nc6 instead of Nd7. Stops checking by the rook, while not being under attack. I'm not a good player, so maybe someone sees why this would be a bad idea?

the quoute should have been ''knights are tricky bastards'' -Antonio

1:22 – actually Bc4 it's the 2nd most common reply according to Lichess database for avg rating 1600 and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the top move for lower ratings (but I couldn't select a lower value).

I wonder how it feels to be one of the best players in the world, almost a 2700 rated player – and then to be outplayed in what seems like such a straightforward manner.

7:20 cant do much with LS Bishop

LS Bishop: It's the 4th game already, and im still chilling.

AGADMATOR you put in alot of work for us it's well appreciated. Gracias 😎

Is there a way to quantify Magnus' dominance in chess as compared to say any other great competitor in a sport? Unfortunately I don't know anything about other sports, so I can only think of people like Jordan or Pele or Federer, or Brady?!

Get rid of that guy who constantly spams about Wesley So in the comments of every video #suggestion

I love that on a grandmaster level Magnus plays straight forward chess. He knows tactics however he just trades and play straight forward and that’s why I really love Magnus games.

Magnus' "Perfection" series of immortal games

"He is me and I am you".
    – Sun Tzu rush hour III

Imperfection is being an hour late, thus i present me.

I really needed to see some masterpiece games from Magnus after the way he lost to MVL in the last AI cup final, I am pleased for the goat 🐐 and indeed, thanks for Agad covering as yourself I couldn't find an accurate coverage for how this game ended on any websites, plus the YouTube livestream for this European club cup is equally of a very bad quality both in coverage and commentary. Hopefully, they will fix it tonight. Best of luck in your future videos

That's crazy how many websites posted the wrong info, thanks for sharing Agad!

Magnus Carleen or Garry Kasparov saga next?

That endgame and those complicated sacrificing moves must depressing while being on the receiving end

I actually had a dream about Magnus Carlsen last night. I asked him to show me a great opening line in the English. He smiled and wrote something down, but then I couldn't read it. Weird.

@agadmator why you didnt go to Albania to watch LIVE?

Nic (J Bruce Feynman Niccolo P. Bentulan) says:

    3rd – Alice Lee beat Wesley So…

…'s girlfriend Carissa Yip in 2023 USCC girls juniors.

    (3 Chinese-descent Americans in 1 sentence. Lol.)

Carissa was underperforming and even lost to a WGM because Carissa was distracted by a secret relationship with Wesley So that started in the 2022 Olympiad.

Notice both of them are defending champions but then underperform in their 1st few OTB tournaments after the Olympiad.

    Carissa Yip

    2021 USCC women's – winner

2022 USCC girls juniors – didn't play but would've easily won if not for playing in 2022 USCC juniors instead

    but then

2023 USCC girls juniors – only 3rd place (should be 2nd minimum)

    Wesley So

    2019 classical WFRCC – winner

    2021 9LX – 2nd place

    2021 USCC – winner

but then even though Wesley So is expected to be 4th minimum in the succeeding events :

    2022 9LX – only 5th place

    2022 USCC – only 5th-6th place

    2022 rapid WFRCC – only 6th place

    But ultimately they bounced back

Carissa Yip – as black beat a GM in the 2023 women's world cup

Wesley So – won 2022 CGC

WGM Janelle Frayna, the 1st and only Philippine WGM, upset Georgian GM (really GM not just WGM) Bella Khotenashvili at the 2022 world blitz.

    There's a 13-move UNDERPROMOTION puzzle here.

For some reason none of the Philippine channels except Kelvinllovejr even cover this game. LOL. But Janelle did cover the game where e drew against Nemo, so maybe Janelle will cover this game later on.

Later in 2023 Bella had a stupid choice for favourite world champion – Magnus Carlsen over Wesley So & Bobby Fischer.

So good thing Janelle had beaten Bella.

Nic (J Bruce Feynman Niccolo P. Bentulan) says:

2nd : Alexey Sarana beats Wesley So, the inaugural current and ONLY classical WFRCC, in classical chess and then later blocks Hans Niemann. Yeah let's see how Alexey does against Wesley So in classical 9LX considering that in classical 9LX Wesley So

    – played the most games (14)
    – won the most games (6)
    – drew the most games (8)
    – lost the fewest games (0) AND was the only player to never lose.
    – beat that talentless patzer Magnus Carlsen then reigning 4x classical WCC

Also I would put Alexey Sarana on the 'allies of evil' list, but I have no 1 to put in the corresponding 'axis of evil' list.

-allies of evil / bad guys: magnus carlsen, garry kasparov, daniil dubov, veselin topalov, hikaru nakamura, liren ding, aryan tari, vincent keymer

-axis of evil / good guys: wesley so, bobby fischer, sergey karjakin, vladimir kramnik, hans niemann, ian nepomniachtchi, alireza firouzja, nodirbek abdusattorov

-bad girls: wenjun ju, bella khotenashvili, andrea botez, atousa pourkashiyan-nakamura, Nemo Zhou

-good girls: tingjie lei (or Nazí Paikidze), janelle frayna, dina belenkaya, sara khadem (or Carissa Yip), Robbi Jade Lew

Just saw Hikaru go through is, be interested in the different takes

6:397:08 was absolutely flawless chess from magnus. As a 1200 rated player im just like how… his pawns were undeveloped and his king exposed. Every move he gets attacked but defends every attack while pushing his pawns and moving his king back to safety. After all that he lost nothing and ended up in a better position

Magnus is advancing in age but he still appears to be at his best! The only other player I can think of who where this dominating was Kasparov

I would have definitely lost the game if i was playing someone of equal strength not knowing I was winning.

And at the same time he was playing, Magnus was mentally preparing the next game in his head !…

Great game. Except for the Hans incident and recent loss to MVL, Magnus totally dominates the game… makes me wonder if Ding is still playing competitive Chess.

So, Sarana played like two second best moves and lost? Lol
