Why don't the PogChamps players learn the basics of how to convert a piece up (or more) trivially winning endgame??? xQc lost two such endgames in a row, just hard threw the game, and Squeex let Wirtual simply march his pawns up the board despite being a rook up. It's pointless to find a nice tactic and win a piece, and then just not have any idea how to win the resulting position if it reaches an endgame.
I remember Naroditsky giving MoistCritikal some lessons on this sort of thing (winning won positions), but I'm not sure what other coaches are doing. It should only take a one hour lesson to teach the basics. Trade pieces. Contest open files with rooks. Centralize your king. Don't give material back — you have an extra piece, protect things with it! Stop the opponent's pawns (especially passed pawns). Make sure your existing stuff is secure, before going on offense. Squeex lost because he went on offense with his extra rook, taking a weak pawn that wasn't going anywhere, rather than targeting the passed pawn (Rae1 instead of Rxa7 would have picked off black's dangerous e pawn within a few moves, with an assist from the king or other rook).
Then go around and win pawns, using the extra piece to make threats the opponent can't respond to with fewer pieces. Finally, support the advance of pawns with your king! Don't advance pawns by themselves. xQc pushed his pawns without king support (especially the move g4), which is what allowed all of them to get eaten by the knight.

Petition to have a over 1000 elo pogchamps! Stronger players with elo inbetween 1000 and 1700. It would show the creators who put in potentially years make the same blunders that the 200s do! Have lud, northern lion, that one vr dude from the other stream. I think it would be amazing!
