Punishing Beginner Mistakes | Ponziani Opening

Watch live on Twitch: — Follow to get notified when I go live!
In this video I play a rapid chess game against fellow Twitch Streamer vengaard_live () who is a relatively new to chess— only been playing for ~3 months! In the game, I unleash the Ponziani Opening and proceed to show no mercy. I hope this game provides some instructional value when it comes to exploiting common beginner mistakes and using basic tactics to seize the advantage. Towards the end of the game (once I achieved a decisive material advantage) I put more of my focus towards answering various questions from the Twitch Chat. After the game, I provide some basic tips and advice and show how black could have improve the opening play against the Ponziani.

9:49 I'm only a measly 950 rated but I was screaming Qf3 before he moved it back to the other square.

This is my most proud chess moment.

3 months he said.. I'm sure you can't play that good after 3 months

Can anyone please tell what game application he is using??

You went up against people with an elo score yet to be determined … "1500?"

Bitcoin is the most profitable investment online if only you trade with a professional broker

3:05 how about knight tales knight, pawn takes knight, queen takes knight with fork on king and win other pawn ?

    "So basically‍, everything is hanging"

At the Bishops opening there are several Aspects who turn to a big Winning

It’s usually recommended to Castle early, in this game you castles rather late !

is he kidding you? so long? without all…

I Just started chess some months ago still i have problems looking 3 turns forward. Is there any other way i can choose the better piece , except losing all the time or making stupid decisions?

    Begginer:what dose the pawn do

    Him: * speaks Greek.

When he answered dose chess help whith concentration or whatever I started getting flash backs of my mom

Is it not possible to play …- Bishop d 5?

I tried this and black castled. I ended up down a bishop and a rook

Just wanted to comment on the move 13. Nxg7+
Had black responded with Kb8, the rook would have been safe and white would drop both knight and bishop, which equalizes the pieces +-pawns.

What obscure opening was it ? I would like to watch!

11:39 In Black turn step 13, if he plays Rook to e7 your Queen is gone!

    “i probably should’ve played qf3”
that’s the move i was thinking of and it’s what i would have played askdksjdhdjdj

Bruh I get pissed when I play chess💔

4:40 would a black bishop to d5 or f5 work? Because the white's queen would be forced to take that bishop out, and then the black knight on e7 could eat the queen. Queen can only move back from there. This move seemed obvious to me but im a beginner so i might be missing something

This is what you get when playing with beginner.

on move 7 wouldnt Bd5 for black just be winning or at least equalizing? i might have missed something idk

    11:40. Why did he call
It the Botoz gambit. I’m new to this whole chess YouTube world and the only botez I’ve heard of are those really attractive sisters…..Same botez?

g7 f6 d 7 @17:33 would have been a clever way to win the rook and check the king.

After the queen takes the pawn at E4 I still think black's best move is pawn to a6.

Ok. Instead of pawn to F6, why not bishop to d5. Threaten the queen, pressure the rook, guard the knight? Am I missing something here?

I don't understand why westerners call it "queen", have you ever seen a queen in a battle field with King?? In Indian version i. e. the original version it's called the "wazir" or the advisor the most important minister after the King. Call it a wazir.
