While I like chess, those weird unknown rules give me nerves. Chess should stick to simpler rules so that the less seasoned players like me don't get caught unexpectedly. It took years for me to learn some rules.

This is because when the pawn moves 3 squares and then 2 squares the pawn can pass so that makes it unfair so that’s how en passant got inveted
