ik when this happened I sometimes play Nh6 to take the beginning piece of the checking

i love it when they do the wayward queen, gives you such a nice lead in development and sometimes there’s tricky tactics with forks and pins

Every game I do someone does this… it feels so nice to bully them when they resign

Normally, when they play that first queen move, h5, I just maybe push a pawn or something that doesn't really do anything, and they think that I don't know the checkmate. (Keep in mind, my rating is only like 500.) I then play knight to g4, and they think, "oh he didn't see the mate" and they take with the queen on f7. Then, that knight takes the queen, and they normally resign.

the most common move afterwards is Nc3.
you can try and do a trap with Nd4, attacking the queen.
If the enemy plays Qf3, you can take with Nxc2, getting a royal fork.
if they play Qd8, you are up in development and are probably gonna win this game afterwards.

Ohhhh yeh spring by vivaldi hits different

Just wanna say thanks, Levy. I enjoy your videos a lot and I jumped from a little over 300 to my peak at 400 elo. I’ve learned a lot from you

After bishop comes out, I'll usually just play Queen F6 trying to face the queen. Newbies usually just take the F7 pawn and thinking they won a pawn but in reality they lost a bishop. It'd be more interesting if they bring back the queen, then we just take our bishop out threatening a checkmate (happened once in my game against 600)

Spoiling Wayward Queen opening for low elo. 😢😢

My dad thought it was a good idea to move his king forward when his opponent played the Wayward Queen Attack.

Instructions unclear, my opponent's queen is crawling on my ceiling.

Wish I'd seen this a couple of years ago; I fell for the wayward queen attack at 43… And was fool's mated at 12 (not scholar's mate, fool's mate). If I actually played in USCF over-the-board events, I'd wear a dunce cap.

My friend once threatened mate in 1 for 6 moves but I defended every one of them

P.S. follow that up with knight d4. If they move their queen to e3 to run away from it: congratulations. Type "gg" in the chat, check the king, and take the queen.

9 times out of 10, whoever's playing the Wayward Queen opening has 0 idea of how the game works, and they just looked up some video called like, "CHECKMATE YOUR OPPONENT IN 4 MOVES" or something. So you'd be amazed how often you can get away with this.

Worst case scenario is you make it to turn 5 up a pawn and your opponent has developed none of their pieces. Play patiently and thoughtfully and you'll be okay. 👍

Viewers of this video will get immediate elo after watching this

finally i wont lose immediately to nelson

In last move, i usually play Queen f6. Is this good for defending and developing at the same time?

Why can’t we block the mate with Knight to H6 ?

A better thing to do would be develop knight to h6 (from black’s pov)

I always play knight to h6 to prevent scholars mate.

Can you please make a video on the philidor defense

And then after that move you threaten the queen with your already developed knight, and if your opponent doesn’t move to the right spot, you can fork their king and their rook, or if they make a really bad move you can fork king queen and rook

knight to g3 is the best move for me in a scholers mate situation

thanks bro for a low-sentience individual like me that's really useful

Faster: when Bc4 you can protect the f7 pawn with Nh6
