Why he not capturing the rook…? Any idea 💡 about it.

Wait can someone explain the last move that the pawn did ?? What was that ??

En Passant… Isn't it only possible on the same turn the opposing pawn crosses center? And if not was it ever the rule?

Bro lied. You def have seen this b4 cuz your showing us it.

The voice crack in "THE KNIGHT" killed me 💀💀💀

This moved happened to me in vs ai thought my game glitched

It's rare because it's illegal, a pawn cannot move diagonally unless it's capturing. White pawn moved diagonally into an open space, and then the black pawn just disappears? Lol

I understood that en passant could only occur on the next turn after the pieces came into position.
Since it was allowed by many people who know more about chess than I do, I must be wrong

IIRC there is en passant checkmate in a guess the elo episode. I couldn't remember which tho

    magnus got hammered,🇧🇻👍💯🤣🥰😎

How if pawns ♟️ only move forward unless they’re capturing?

I just asked my brother if he knew en passant then i came back scrolled and boom

Knight sacrifice, rook sacrifice, then en passant reveal checkmate. That’s peak chess!

checkmate via Castle would've been mind blowing and the only person that ever came close to it just moved his king up why

The rarest move in chess, presented by the most annoying streamer in chess.

Couldn’t you take the white pawn with the black bishop

I feel like pawn promotes to Bishop is more rare. Or even better pawn promotes to bishop = mate

The Waffle House has found it’s new host

You call it en passant, I call it en croissant. We are not the same

    hasn't anyone made a "THE ROOOOOK"-compilation video yet? I'll love it… <3

Is that actually a legal move? How does it work?

I got checkmated with en passant and my friend teases me till this day. I had like 3 weeks experience to be fair.

Can you make a video on how the En passant works because I was playing and all the sudden I had a prompt to use it and hit a check because of it. I didn’t with tho 😢

It is super rare while everyone would know there is a sac of THE ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK

I dont understand how that pawn move diagonally

Was this a blitz match? Magnus had other options to stop this checkmate (at least from my limited 1280 perspective) that I'm shocked if he would have missed in a relaxed format. If Magnus sacrificed the bishop during either attack from the rooks it would have opened up options for counterplay. Magnus walked right into this and I'm not sure why. I trust that the WC had some reason to do this.

That is really funny saying the rook and the knight

gotham in normal videos: so he plays the rook.
    gotham in shorts: THE KNIIIIIIIGHTTTT

I thought he was going to use his bishop to tank the hit or to stop/slow that situation. Best case scenario you keep your bishop and take whites rook
