Technically speaking, not meaning to be that guy, but it cost Wesley 15k not 60k because he still got 35k, and he wasn’t playing for 60k the winner of that game got 50k Hikaru only got 60 because he won the champions bracket which got him an extra 10k bonus

This is backed by extremely logical evidence he stated that the queen was worth “$60000” however the queen couldn’t be worth more than $20 at MAX as even if it was a professional chess set the queens aren’t worth that much. In fact the most expensive chess piece is the knight thus it would be more logical to say a knight is worth $60000 however it’s still extremely unlikely as even though knights take an immense amount of precision to craft a professional chess knight is still worth less than $100. In conclusion Levi is overvaluating the queens worth therefore he is clickbait.

Yeah I blundered my queen back to age 10, first competition in my life, I had an endgame queen + pawn vs queen and gave a mate thinking my queen was protected by my pawn. I stopped the clock and wrote 1-0. What a surprise when his king took my queen ! I forgot my pawn was going the other way… still traumatised 24 years later 🙂
