I really got into chess around 2020 or 2021 when xQc started playing the game, I don't remember the exact time. Through watching him I found Hikaru and then at some point after that I found this channel. It really is an ageless game. I think if humanity ever makes it to the stage where we're exploring the stars, there's probably going to be a chess board somewhere on those spaceships.
Got the book in mail just a couple days ago too, love how it looks and reads. Your value in this community cannot be overstated, Levy. Good luck to you, and everyone else, in 2024!

Summer 2021 I was super bored and discovered chess at the far side of the youtube algorithm. Since then I've improved a lot, and with the first game of 2024 I finally crossed 1700.
When I was five one of my friends was in a chess club and a decidet to join. After 3 to 4 years i quit and started to play chess again when i was 12 because of your videos.
I'm 22 and I've gotten into chess one year ago. I've always been fascinated with chess but it always felt like an isolated sport and it has always been difficult to find content that is both interesting and entertaining until the recent chess booms. It's been fun seeing so many content creators I've heard of or follow getting into the game. That really showed how much the community around chess is growing
Been playing chess since I was 4 and am turning 23 this year. I played quite a bit in school but stopped afterwards. The explosion of engaging content is making me want to get back into that world

My grandfather, who died when I was seven years old played a draw against Boris Spasski played against a friend of his when I was a year younger when we visited him in Serbia (I'm half Serbian, half Greek, hence my greek last name.). After his death I've asked my mom to tell me about the board game he was playing back then so she got me into the game by explaining the rules but she wasn't nearly as good as my grandfather. So over time my brother and I got bored and lost touch with chess but at the age of 26, after getting the queens gambit recommended by friends I soon stumbled upon your channel and I've been subscribed ever since. Thank you for entertaining us if you happen to still read the comments. ❤

Thanks so much for everything you’ve done for the chess world and for your viewers. If you haven’t already considered it, might I suggest making chess Lu into an app? I like using the drills provided from your book, but sometimes the mobile web version doesn’t work as well. Having an app would really help make your courses more accessible. Other than that, I love what you’re doing, keep it up in 2024! 😊
