I graduated high school in 2023, it was so cool being a senior and being into chess at that time. I had gotten into chess earlier in mid 2022, so I had a little experience already when all of my classmates started getting into chess too. It really motivated study, and I was playing blitz games with my buddies for 3 free periods every day. The teachers loved it too.

I used to love chess, my getaway after a stressful day. But i got some extreme competitive genes, once i got into it, i grind it till 3 AM. So I had to make it stop and channel my energy into other more productive things. Now i play chess once in a while, but I don’t do it competitively anymore, and it’s no longer fun because I don’t take it as seriously. Now, just watch Gotham in my free time, no more play. 😅 Happy new year I guess

I got into chess in 7th grade (that was, like, a year ago) when my friend just brought a chess set for no reason to social studies class and I, despite knowing nothing about the game, managed to beat him somehow. I haven’t improved an insane amount like most beginners probably do, but I think I’m alright
