The SECRET To Stop Blundering Your Pieces In Chess

In this video I explain a method to stop blundering your pieces in chess. I use it all the time, and I think everyone else should too, especially in the lower ratings. This is episode 2 of my speedrun to 2000 and in this episode I’m rated 500. Hope you enjoy the video 🙂

But if black went for the queen exchange anyway – why didn't he pull the rook a8->d8 earlier? Or why capture the pawn at d5 immediately? e6 horse prevents e3->e4 pawn advance for a time.
Unrelated, I rarely enjoy chess videos, but I like this one. It was fun.

It's meant well, but it's too restrictive to only put pieces into protected squares. More realistic rule is to check all undefended pieces before and after every move.

I stopped playing chess. So I stopped blundering. I think it's a win for me.

Reminds me of advice I got for a different game: Worry about yourself. Keep what you're doing in good order and leave it to your opponent to worry about you.

Such a teaching in chess I have never seen as nicely explained by you. You explained how not to blunder, others could not or have not when I have asked them about blunders. Thanks for the "protection".

I watched this to see what "blundering" meant, but after the intro, the concept was never mentioned.

Jesus Christ, people can actually listen to this voice..

What the hell is that video poster? I was wondering why makeup videos end up in my YouTube recommendations 😀

    I can't concentrate as she's too beautiful!!!!

    Bravo! Beautiful! Homages! 🧚🏻‍♂️🧚🏻‍♂️🧚🏻‍♂️ JAR

I thought you were going to lose on time, haha.

This is such a great tip. I just won 3 out of 4 games. The only one I lost was when I tried to get tricky. I seem to coincidentally find myself in much more comfortable positions.

Very clear guidance for beginners (that would be me). Thank you.

trust me its not 99%, its 100% my rating is less than 400 lol

Thank you for posting .I learn so much from you . I never knew a king could take an other piece when he was in check !

At 13:00 minutes in the video " I don't have any pieces undefended…" meanwhile pawn at b3. In no danger but… 🙂

That was NOT a ELO 533 player unless using an engine or friend to help with some moves.

Videos like this are what 10x is about🎉❤

Now make a video where you actually talk about the topic …

I’m 1500 and I did learn a lot from this video, thanks.

The trick is to play puzzles first, play the daily puzzle next(try to focus and find the correct move order), play like 3 blitz games and then continue playing 2 rapid games. I use this method and i usually just have 1 miss and up to 2 inaccuracies.

Thanks Anna. This really helped me. Started a couple.of month ago.. worked my way up into the seven hundreds then lately I have been getting beat down… This really helped me today since I watched this morning!!❤🎉

Fantastic Video that will no doubt help increase my rating Thank you

I learned a lot, I hope you have more lessons for beginners in your archives!

Over defending a piece is also a great and underrated

Very relevant as my game name in chess is blunderingme

Great video! Please more educational ones like this 🙂

I'm about 2350. Although having your pieces defended can be a good rule of thumb in some situations, I don't think it's a good guiding principle if you want to be good at chess. For example a defended piece can still be taken by a pawn (yay you get a pawn back for it!) or it can be trapped, etc. A good time to ensure all pieces are defended is an ending where you have several pieces and the enemy has a queen in exchange. But that's a pretty special case. 🙂

But at 1800 I'm still blundering pieces lol…

Thank you so much Anna you are beautiful intelligent and lovely person 😘🙋🏻‍♀️🇫🇷🇭🇷

I can't stop doing it, I'm so bad lol hopeless!

    My best game is:
    Blunder :0
    Mistake:0
    Missed win: 0
    Inaccuracy: 5

    Beautiful tactical explanation!💪😎
