Entertaining, but too easily refuted. 4. d4 fxe4 5. Nxe5 d5 6. Bb5 is +-. That knight on c6 is a problem as it either stays pinned or comes off the board. In either case it now makes Qh5+ possible because the queen doesn't need to retreat along the h file – it now has Qe5+ !! winning on the spot. That's not difficult to find, didn't need to consult opening explorer or turn on the engine.

I object! Instead of moving the knight back to G1, why not move to the knight to D4? Black can't take the knight on D4 without the WQ and white's F4 pawn causing all sort of trouble. Someone below suggested Nd4 too but it isn't a sacrifice.

At 2:26, if Qf4 Kf7, with idea of Bd6, what next if white pawn takes bishop, how to trap a queen?

    1. e4 e5
    2.Nf3 Nc6
    3.Bc4 f5
    4.exf5 e4
5.Qe2……and over with trickiest chess opening.

What if isang araw Ng one day mangyayari ang happening SA life Ng buhay mo aaboy pakaya Ng one week ang isang linggo? O Baka Naman ang one month Ng isang buwan ay magiging one year kapag isang Taon na don't waste the opportunity at wag mong sayangin ang oportunidad Ng MGA pagkakataon dahil new year na ang bagong taon eto Lang Naman ay reminders Ng paalala na dapat mong tandaan and always remember this when you go down the street use your eyes then your feet little children you should know Red is Stop and Green is Go.

And me too 👌🏻…i won so many chess games after i saw this gambit on your channel and thank you for that… 3rd trick is new to me 🤯, and so cool and "gangsta" like you said at the beginning of this video…all the best regards 💪🏻

You must be getting a lot of views on this video because I have tried this as black and I got destroyed. My opponents played really good as white

    Quite😮 superb moves ' Excellent…clap,clap,clap…

Hey! So I finally got this variation and pushed the pawn up to kick the knight back, but assumed the they would bring their queen to E2. So I pushed the pawn up to kick back the Bishop. Thoughts after that? 😅 thx!

At 5:20 what's the idea if white protects the f2 pawn by playing Qe2 instead of playing g3?

Mr. GM Smirnov, it seems that I understand after three month of listening and watching your videos better your perfect English. Maybe after a year I will shine between the chess players who beat me now.

At 1:05 it is possible to play Nd4 because if you take the knight Queen h5 is possible with +3,6. After Nd4 is the correct move Nf6 with equal play.

I am going to pick this up right away, these kinds are perfect for blitz games

    You're really amazing 🤩😍

I love the Rousseau gambit, i started playing it after the first video when i had Elo 1750 and it brought me a lot of victories. When i reached Elo 1900 i started facing 4.d4 more frequently, and lost a couple of games. I got destroyed on the dark squares. But now in this video you show you can take on e4 and go for a risk/reward set up. I tried it, 3 times, and 3 times i won. Highly satisfying to win with this gambit and i can confirm it works against 2000 elo players. Your videos are the best, i hope you make a lot more

hey Igor, what if in this position 0:39, white plays d3 and i play bishop c5 and then they capture pawn exf5, what would be the best way to play around that, because it seems like that f file pawn is pretty important in the attack. i would assume push d pawn to d5? but idk

the fact you said gangster while talking about chess made my entire Monday, thank you, your videos are very helpful for low rated players like me.

I like your optimism that winning one piece means winning the game.

then if you play Blacks is not an opening is a defense

Igor said Gangster like he was Snoop Dogg lol

Tactical motifs span across many openings, sound and dubious. So why not spend 100% of your efforts studying unsound openings? Mainline openings will be easier to learn later anyways, and if it keeps your ELO up while you laugh at all the people who fall into your traps, then why not?

Wow! What a gambit. The weakest and most vulnerable soldier (f7 pawn) kills the king. Chess is beautiful!!

Thank you for your videos I really learn alot and have been winning more since using what I learned

I really enjoy your opening tricks and ploys

But white can capture the rook on 9:13 by their horse with discovered attack and if black king will move to e7, than white can pin your knight to a king, by their bishop, but king to d7 seems more good

I actually played this opening in a tournament. At time stamp 1:13 instead of playing Ng1 my opponent actually played Nd4 after thinking for a long time. I happily took his N with my N which landed me in a worse position.

I'm waiting for the third part of Rousseau Gambit in which you cover the line where white sacs N on d4….

Igor – you are awesome in what you do ! Your energy makes these learning videos interesting and that much more fun !!! Heartfelt thanks on behalf of all the kids who are learning from your videos

LOVE this, it is a better version of the Latvian gambit, which I love to play!

it's confusing and unpredictable, I love it. it's the first time seeing it and I'm interested in learning it. are there more videos about this opening?

6.Bb5 refutes the cheapo gambit outright. Not nice of you to not even mention this.

I played this gambit but there is a line can destroy it after pawn takes pawn and pushing pawn to d4 what if he played Nd6 ? If i itook with my knight There is a Queen on h5 and what is the best move after that ?

This looks very similar to the Philidor Countergambit

    9:11

What if white’s knight moves to e5 with the discovery check to your king?
