This is devastating.

This is too much good chess and youtubing in one video! Brilliant move, Gotham!

The pronunciation discussion in the comments are quite interesting. However, as a west coast American, I just pronounce names like Levi.

Levy as a German speaker I can tell you that Dutch is basically funny sounding German plus some English and I can say fairly confidently that you are pronouncing warmerdam correctly

your mom is devastating gotham.stop the clickbait

Levy never fails to tell the same 11 year old story

Sorry to say but Ding Liren is the weakest champion in around a century. No dominance. Everyone's beating him

    If this isn’t ACTUALLY devastating….

warmer is litterly 'hotter' and is indeed spoken with a w, not a v, here as a native dutch speaker. Where the 'dam' i assume originated from the word 'pavement' in english and is pronounced with a hard A, though idk if that type of A is ever used in english, don't ask my why

Nothing better than seeing Hans the world champion wannabe right in the middle of the contenders pack. I hope he learns a bit of his actual capacities.

"Maurizzi plays my line" , Show me where it says Caro Kann: Gotham Variation.

    yanny pomnichi mentioned 💪🏼💪🏼

Imagine how good Hans could be if he just had a consistent WiFi connection for every game.

Bro really said I was growing up in the suburbs which was a dark place in my life😂

Jorden was the winner two years ago when Carlsen and Fabi played. He might just be having a rough event.

18:47 why was Queen A1 not a move attacking the rook and defending the pawn?

If his name has Portuguese origin it is most likely Mendonça (pronounced Mendonssa)

I play Knight B7 against my dad all the time

I’ve only been in 1 fight too. I was 9 and this bigger, older kid was scared to fight so he sat on me. I decked ‘em and he ran home crying. Seriously, who does that in a fight?!

"and for the middle game Hans just had a very pleasant edge" -Levy Rozman 2024

Levy never fails to get beat up by 9 year olds

Ding needs to vacate his title. He’s going to get crushed in a very embarrassing way otherwise.

"This dude who hasn't showered in two days versus the guy in the red shirt"

I am here for interludes where Levi gives us stories from his childhood seamlessly woven into the analysis. Good stuff.

I wish Nepo had won the WC match. Ding has not been a good WC so far. Nepo is maybe the GOAT at piece coordination. Here he invents, according to Gotham, a new method of attack in the Spanish, and it works.

Levy never fails to give lore of his childhood

The multiple title and thumbnail changes are hilarious

    Usually
Bad tata steel= Good world championship

Levy, Mendonça is quite a common surname here in Brazil and its pronounced like "Mendonsa" as if "ç" was a "s", the same s sound as say, said or any of those. Anyway, thanks for everything and keep up the great work!

Here after the levy changed the title 'Revange.'

I don't know if that's how you say Warmerdam, Levy; but the way you say makes it sound like an awesome name.

Levy, I feel like your videos are lower quality now, you are not shouting "THE ROOOOOOK!" Loud enough anymore.

Warmerdam. Levy as a dutchie I am proud how you pronounced Max his name. Perfect!!👍👍👍👍 And Elaine's name is pronounced like: THE ROOK. So ROOBERS😊

I had a chess game where I played a brilliant move by sacrificing the ROOK

Marc'andria and Eline are my favourite players from this event

This comment section never fails to produce almost exclusively "levy never fails" comments

Hard to imagine Levy was in a fight and was the favorite.

"ian doesnt spend 25 min in anything"

    kappa

I've never seen anyone win so many lost positions as Abdusattorov. Better opening prep and he's probably a serious contender for the World Championship, moreso than any of the indians and maybe even more than Firouzja
