Magnus returns with punishment for the previous game.

Agad pls change Vincent's picture it makes him look bad tbh

I don't bring in rooks to harass my opponent, I bring in rooks to avoid stalemating him! And because even years after being taught chess, I just like the way they look

Maybe Keymer kept playing past "normal" time to resign because of Carlsen's recent goofy giveaway of his knight to that ten-year-old.

"History always repeats itself" same tournament, same opening as well.

Why didn't he take the rook and defended pawn promotion with 2 knights?

I punished Vincent’s insolent blunder but good job I didn’t have to finish the game as well.

This position is now objectively draw but Keymer must earn his snack.

Old guy Magnus demolished Vincent and that"s awesome event, just like when Djokovic dismantlles šiljokurani.

You have to show Maxime Vachier-Lagrave against Richard Rapport!

The youth in chess are getting better than ever❤❤

You had to evaluate Nxa8 (at 8:00). That's the most obvious move – not to give up material.

One of the most enjoyable chess commentators out there. An excellent balance of showing the game, giving some historical context, and showing just enough variations to help with understanding but without ruining the flow.

Ding played all 6 games so far not to lose, so sad

Vincent Keymer always plays interesting games. good or bad, they always end up interesting.

As a complete idiot it's nice that this guy gives context as to what is happening in the game, where the pieces are heading, what the players intentions are.
    👏

Also 5 years ago, Carlsen played 5 years ago, played the benoni in Grenke Chess Classic 2019. Also a notable information.

When Agadmator pauses the game to see if we can find the right move set, is always the peak of my day

    Haha 27seconds since upload? I'm early.😅

Why not take the rook on a8 with the knight?

How could the first game and the Nodirbek Abdusattorov game in the same tournament be the only two times these first 18 moves were played? I wonder if some prep sharing is happening. Seems extremely unlikely an opening would go 18 moves with only 2 games in the database from such close competitors. Unless I’m missing something.

I think there should be a clickable link to the special moment in each of these videos when we hear "And it is now as of move X we have a completely new game."

Although I'm probably not qualified to offer an opinion, my understanding is that being up a minor piece at this level of play pretty much guarantees the player who is up a piece will win although I must admit it was not that easy for Magnus to prove it in this case although he obviously did.

The insolent youngster! So funny, thank you!😊

I think it has to be …Nd5, in order to jail the white knight in the corner in case of Nxa8. …Nd7 allows the knight to slip out via c7. I could double-check this on a computer, but that feels like cheating.

The endgame play of Magnus is impeccable

I have nothing against our guy, Vincent. He only lost to our boy, Maggie.

Thanks Antonio for your exposition of the Benoni, one of many openings i have never mastered.
