I was 100 elo in all forms rapid bulllet etc… loosing almost every game prob because of my openings I took your free caro and e4 (Vienna) and in 2 and half months actually a lil less I went to 1200 rapid 1300 bullet and 1150-1200 blitz. Highly recommend trying the free samples

I’m not a very good chess player, hovering 800 Elo. I don’t put in much effort or study my own play but watch a lot of chess content and play daily with little improvement. Yesterday I micro-dosed mushrooms and today I got 3 brilliant moves playing the Italian game. I’m a big fan of E4 openings and play it every time I can. I know nothing about what the engines say about next moves and haven’t studied any variations. I’d be lucky if I get a brilliant move once a year and today I got 3 brilliant moves, 2 in a single game. My games today I don’t think we’re very impressive but I felt flow state kick in and read my opponents even knowing I was blundering with a confidence I’ve never had before.

I've never heard of this guy, but i'm happy he's finding some joy in chess. This is what it does to us that crave mental interactions such as chess, at first it's like "ehh chess", then you actually start learning, and you're like "oh.. snap, i'm a baby in this", then you engage it harder and you get addicted and others are like "it's just chess".. nope.. it's not. it's tactics, it's position, it's pushing your brain to see things that aren't there yet. it's a damn war.

So on the move where Tyler took the knight on b4 with his queen in the first game, would bishop f3 work in that situation? Pinning the rook to the queen and then taking with the pawn seems slightly safer imo

Would love to hear Levy's input on how he feels about the debates around where Tyler will plateau off brute forcing chess while refusing to change his opening or learn theory. Alot of heated debates I've seen about how far you can get in chess by pure brute forcing games.
