  1. Very cool event. Love Peter Leko. Good job today on production.

  2. Love how Vincent and Nodirbek was the top 2 after day 1, and instead of showing their head-to-head 1st game, we had to watch Gukesh's game because that took Tania's eyes. Nice!

  3. can someone tell me what's wrong with ding why isn't he chilling

  4. Ding will be making history as the only WC to retain his title for the next few years and never to win any other tournaments (or even coming in last) during his reign.

  5. The “pow wows” before the game just lead to almost everybody playing the same first few opening moves. Is it a team tournament or an individual one? Shouldn’t be allowed.

  6. I hate the naming Freestyle chess. It is “Fisher random” or chess960. Please give the inventor his credit. Don’t invent name for something you haven’t found.

  7. It's not freestyle 960 or what ever, it's Fischer random you dolts.

  8. Why does the live board take up 1/10 of the screen lol whould be the centerpiece

  9. I'm not a fan of this commentary format. Go back to the two commentators with the analysis board, don't need a guy on a PowerPoint on top of everything

  10. This is going to be a big year for the young killer, Nodirbek. He's seemed to have reached a new level with the way he's been performing lately. I remember watching him play Magnus when he was 14 or 15 and even back then he was giving Magnus that death stare. When most people would be intimidated and fall apart playing Magnus, this 14 year old kid was looking at him like he didn't give a damn who he was. I called it back then that this kid would be future World Champion one day. Hopefully that happens sooner rather than later. I love this kid.

  11. Nodirbek is absolutely dominating, he's the future

  12. "freestyle goat chess challenge"
yet no Wesley So or Hikaru Nakamura hmmmmm

  13. Shame on you, Weissenhaus, for not acknowledging the late great Bobby Fischer!

  14. I'm afraid chess960 shows just how much, in the long run, computers sterilize and suck the life out of chess. (Said by someone avidly following the action with stockfish). The thing is, the vast majority of exciting chess arises from mistakes.

  15. Tanya just an IM, should learn to stop parroting what the GMs commentated. Really very irritating.

  16. At 3:23:24 you can hear the board analysis guy has gone to the toilet without turning off his microphone. It’s quite hilarious 😅. Reminds me of Frank Drebin in Naked Gun.

  17. "Tomorrow, we want to see the real Ding" xD.

  18. I do find it funny how this event is presented as having invented Chess960.

  19. Why was Wesley not invited since he was once Fischer random champion?

  20. I'm here for the joy Pete felt when Fabi played b4, preventing him from getting smoked 2-0 by Tania on the opening moves prediction. Pure joy 😂

  21. Love how Magnus has dual use of his hair in mopping the floor.

  22. 4:41:21 since Magnus's blunder on move 50, 7 of Nodirbek's next 9 were only winning moves, with <2 min. Well done, sir.
