I recommend EVERYONE to learn the Englund Gambit. It's a gambit with black that goes 1.d4 e5 2.dxe5 Nc6 3. Nf3 Qd7. There are multiple ways to get a winning position with this gambit and most importantly you will never face the London cuz you wont play d5 against d4 AND if they try to play the london against the englund gambit youre most likely to win a piece or even the game if your opponent doesn't know what theyre doing

I dropped from 1200 blitz to 1100 and 1150 bullet to 1050 now its going to be 1250 – 1200 in rapid after watching this vid😂(jk)

This is why I don’t like the short (5 minute or less) games. You have an opponent who plays so well and they just don’t have time to continue to think through their moves. It’s no longer instructional as you said yourself the commentary has to take a back seat while you finish the game but the commentary is the point of the video. Not to watch an IM dunk on a 1400 (no disrespect intended here)

I'm technically a 1200….undefeated against 11 games (well 1 I lost because my internet died right as he blundered his queen too). But I think I'm pretty bad and just got lucky playing totally crap players. But either way I remember at one point being like an 800 and thinking 1200s were complete unbeatable chess geniuses.
