Oh, and it's "low", in case you haven't looked it up. "The margin of error is low." It's a statistics term that people use for games, means you aren't allowed to make many mistakes.

i dont know, fide´s elo rateing is broken as f… if it would be an accurate implementation of ELO their would be no way a 400 gap results in a close match (maybe at the < 1000 elo range but not > 2000 ) elo as system is crazy accurate but in my oppinion all the prep involved in pro chess is currupting the system its often team effort and even its a skill its not the same as you need to play chess, i bet if they had to play random openings like bots there would be a lot of changes to the ratings.
dont get me wrong they are good players way better then i will ever be but still the ratings by fide suck

The margin of error in tense positions is considered 'low' or 'Narrow', ie the target is so small that even a slight miscalculation causes you to miss :)!
