Ding will throw up when he watches this video, commentary in the background.
    😮😮

The way I understood his comments in the press conference, he didn't simply freeze but evaluated the position as borderline lost for black, especially if he played it slow, so he was looking for tricks. With an eval bar it's easy to miss, but he's down an exchange so it makes some sense.

At this point we should introduce into WCH a possibility of change with the second for a 5 minute period once per game. Obviously the second would have to be isolated from any electronic devices. Could be also very interesting innovation in the prep department.

    𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕥𝕟𝕚𝕥𝕖 𝕓𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕤 𝟜𝟚𝟘 says:

didn't expect a world championship to make me cry but here we are

dang, my heart goes out to Ding, but you gotta give it to Magnus Carlson and Gary Kasparov, to reign as champions for such a long time, through all of this pressure.
The pressure was made so much more real both during the last WCC and this one.

You can kinda understand why Magnus decided to resign

I am 1200 and I could see Kg7 was best to buy some time. I guess I am not as professional as Maglose.

Ding told at the very first day – he can't imagine himself being WCC. I feel like he is unconsciously sabotaging his victory.. winning can be scary, indeed.

This was hard to see, I’m still rooting for my guy Ding! Nepo is a fucking beast tho man, crazy how good these guys are

am sooo sorry but my intrusive thoughts won me over

    dingchilling

Ding is a good player, Ding will go on to beat Magnus in the future soon 🤞

It is so difficult to make that transition from Classical to Blitz during the same game man. Being down on the clock in a lot of games I know the feeling and how hard it is.

I love Danya but anybody else notice his left eye 1:572:00… 🤣🤣 Low-key terrified me ahaha

Danya got so frustrated that he went cross-eyed several times.

I think Ding really wanted to win this game as black, and because of that I think he spent to much time on some moves which in turn led to time trouble later on. He probably got frozen when he couldn't accept a good enough move. Perhaps it was required to play many excellent /brilliant moves to win as black, idk, maybe he felt that.

Tania was literally crying. This is one of the most gut-wrenching moments in WC history

Why is Danya's eyes malfunctioning like bruhhh😭

Danya 2:28 mind is blown 👀, his eyes totally lost it 😂😂

Ding will lose one more match and win the championship

Imagine respresenting a country thats trying to take over the world and losing 🙂

It was heartbreaking to see live to say the least. This is exactly what I was dreading going by his past few games. A complete psychological break down. I don't know if he can come back up from this. Surely I hope that he can and he will.
When you watch Nepo's press interviews, even he was not so bullish today as he always other days, it was so bad even his opponent didn't want to mount more pressure on him. Kudos to Nepo as well

The problem is the downward spiral. Too many lines to check, time gets low, you realise it, then realise you have too many line to check, the first couple ones you check ended up not looking good so you know you have to look for more, time is lower, you realise you don't have time to think, but you have to and from there your mind think about the time and not the game, it becomes too difficult to concentrate, you freeze.

That was the most painful and relatable thing to watch

Honestly i don't want corona to win. I happy the russian Grandmaster took the lead. Judge me idc but Chinese need to lose

Proving yet again the French is still for Folks that have never met the C-K – what a maroonic defence

vry strange behavoir from a professional , hope not a game fix there

That must be the biggest choke moment in WCC history?

I really understand now when Hikaru sometimes says "I know this isnt the best move but I'll make it anyway" Hikaru really has a good ability to identify at least a move that isnt losing on the spot.

Great words by Anish. It doesn't matter if position is winning or losing when your brain says i'm done. I can't handle it then you are done!!!

first time competing for the world championship, against Nepo. just image what was in Nepo's mind 2 years ago… against Magnus!

The mental stress was colossal. As Hemingway alluded to in his quote on sport, a sport is when you put your life on the line. These 2 guys are doing just that.

Just imagine in 1 minute if he could make all the moves and win this, that would have been epic

Ding i think is stuck on time management but i think nepo is playing too fast and trying to win on time sometimes

I watched this game during class and I don't know how I didn't shout "MOVE DING MOVEEEEEEEEEE". This is proof that, despite being geniuses with unbreakable minds, they are still humans after all..Amazing game

Ian failed to beat Carlsen even once last championship, that's why magnus refuse to play
