First Chessboxing Grand Prix
In Cheboksary, as part of the Superfinals of the national championship, the first international Grand Prix in chessboxing was held. Participants alternately had to play a game of chess and conduct a round in the ring. As a result of a stubborn struggle, Ilsur Iskhakov from Russia won, in the final he was stronger than his compatriot Dmitry Prokopiev. The Turkish representative Varol Ayberk won the bronze medal.
