The fifth round was played at the Superfinals of the Russian Championship

In the open tournament Maxim Chigaev won the first victory, defeating  Arseniy Nesterov with white pieces. Rakhmanov – Esipenko, Murzin – Tomashevsky, Dubov – Sjugirov, Najer – Matlakov and Artemiev – Iljushenok played a draw.

In the women’s tournament Gunina beat Garifullina with white, Goltseva won over Zhapova, Guseva won over Charochkina and Yakimova won Bivol with black. The games of Galliamova – Ovod and Girya – Pogonina ended in a draw.
