I have a feeling that Hikaru is suffering because everyone sees him as a favourite of the Candidates. Vidit preppers something special for the game with him, Abasov and Pragg just take no risks and want to draw.
Prag knows where to take risk, Vidit was relying too much on prep so he just took him out of prep and won. Also strength of the opponent matters.
