This is what people can do when they don't have to work to survive. i remember all that nonsense anticommunist propaganda back in the day about how people will be too lazy to do anything if they don't have to pay money to avoid starvation. nowadays science demonstrates decisively that the LESS people have to worry about survival needs like housing and food, the more productive and accomplished they become, yet we still have people out here thinking the peasants must fight to survive or else society will rot lmao. most cannot afford to play chess for 10+ hours a day for weeks at a time, you know what i'm sayin. but, we would see a LOT more of this kind of thing in a world with something like UBI.
