I was wondering, what would be considered a good growth in chess. I started beginning of june, the app gave e 400 elo and i am now (3months in) fighting to keep above 800. Am I doing good?
Other thing, I am much much better at daily games. Like 800 in daily and barely 600 in the 10/15min games. Is that normal?

Someone should build a chess app that literally unlocks moves as your elo progresses, maybe not blocking things like backward knight moves, but forcing the players to stick to known openings for a set amount of moves.
Like, only allow mainline opening moves (or up to 3-4th most popular lines) up to move 5-6, then open the board up, to help beginners like me get the openings down.
