That puzzle doesn’t make sense to me. Why couldn’t Qd6 block the checkmate? Queen didn’t HAVE to take white queen

THANKS, I got from 1150 to 1450 in a single week, and this big thank is also for other of your videos!!!

I think that the Puzzle solution is Qh5 , Bxc4 and mate is unavoidable after g6

Why doesn’t Qc2 work for that opening trap at 8:13? The idea if Qxa1 then Bb2 trapping the queen but then Rxa2?

For the tactical puzzle… Qh5, then if black bishop doesn’t move Qh8 is mate. If black bishop does move along the diagonal, pawn to g6 and then queen to h8 mate

    Puzzle answer is 1.Rh8+ K×h8 2.Qh1+ Kg8 3.g6 1-0

Arthigamya Financial Services Pvt Ltd says:

    Practice puzzle is it
    1. Qh5 Bxc3 2. g6 Rfd8 3. Qh8#

    ??

I was a thousand elo and now i dont' know what is happening to my game i fell to 900 elo in just 4 days may be i will improve i also want to get selected in my school team

Which chess app is it that you can analize your statistics?

I usually use the caro-kann fantasy variation and the Grunfeld defense for black and the ruy lopez for white

    ❤❤❤thanks
Gonna follow it for 21 days

queen to h5. if black takes bishop on c4 then pawn to g6. after that the queen can mate on h8/h7. if the bishop stays on c7 then the queen can mate immediately. 0% chance I see that without knowing that there was a win.

Been tilting recently went from 1774 to 1680 😢😢😢

good video, I started making videos about chess puzzles to help people! thank you for the tips

False promise. Also you can get out of opening just by learning few easy rules.

2:57 I think the answer to the puzzle should be Rh8+ Kxh8 is forced and then Qh1#
I think this is the answer, please correct me if I am wrong!
Btw this video is really helpful so thanks!

Haai. First thank you for what you are doing!
As a low level player, I don't agree yet with your solution with the puzzle at 2:31. Black queen to C6 following with black Tower c8 taking the free c-row sounds better in my unexperience opinion.
    What do I miss?

I am around 1600 and 1700 and i beat regularly 1700 and 1800 players of chess and i want to go until 2000 my dream or maybe more if possible!Thank you,for your great advice,i understand with the fact,i raise my level,so my opponent are more wise and better prepared too,so i need to be more wise too if i want to raise my level more fast!I think this what i need to do right now!You do a great work for us Igor, this is greatly appreciate!

2:53 – Queen H5, bishop is pinned to the king and cannot take. black can't stop checkmate after that…right?

G6. If BxB, Rh8+ followed by KxR, Qh5+, Kg8, Qh7 mate. He can't push his g pawn forward to create a square to escape when you advance to g6, so he can't stop mate. I think g6 is the only correct move here.

I'm doing it all wrong. All I do is watch opening videos and hardly ever play until I feel like I understand the opening. Then I play the opening and realize my elo is so low that nobody knows any of the proper lines, so it's just a random boring game of chess with a massive advantage. Then I switch over to the 1850 bot and get stomped because I don't know any of the proper lines well enough. Back to "studying" openings… Game is hard. One day I will be able to beat grampa gambit with the black pieces more than a couple times in a row… I haven't even started to learn white openings.

Hey I used one of your old courses from a long time ago briefly. It literally helped my game tremendously.

I don't play much anymore but I can say that those few days of following along with your course improved my game a whole lot.

Your advice is gold and I know that it works. Any serious player should consider some of Igor's work.

g6 to cover king esape, bishop takes c4 queen h5 and next move is mate

Practice puzzle: Pawn G6, Black takes bishop, rook h8, Black takes rook, Queen H1 check, king moves to g8 and queen h7 checkmate. Idk if its right

How come puzzles make me worse and i cant explain why its like i see the ghosts of the puzzles and i respond to them in the worst possible time in a game. I went from 1600 to 1350 in a week of dedication to puzzles

$150 a year to analysis games in Australia is a joke. 😂

I honestly think this is great, im current a 1500, and used to lose a lot of points until i actually started playing like 3 -5 games per day, nothing more, and lots of puzzles.

My plan which got me up from 1400-1700 in a few weeks: watch one chess video 15 min, play 1-2 games, analyse and learn from your mistakes, research the opening if you havent seen it before. In total this takes around 2 hours.

Most games rated under 2000 are decided by tactics. So there is where most of my time is going. Then some time analyzing. Only thing you need to know for your opening are the basic rules, to complete your development and the idea behind the opening.

Solution to puzzle: Th8+ Kxh8 Qh1+ Kg8 g6 and no matter what black response is, Qh7++ (black cannot take the pawn with the bishop cause it is pinned) Nice puzzle

I'm a 1200 online rated player and my major opening weakness is I dont have a good opening for black against 1. d4. What openings would you suggest for black against d4?

Queen to H5 threataaning checkmate and the black bishop is pinned by the white bishop so it cannot take the Queen
Edit: thank you for helping me improve!

    2:55 g6 wins the game. No matter what Black does, they can't stop rh8+, kxh8, Qh1, Kg8, Qg7#

I am going to amplify this to be 3 hours long 😂

Pawn to G 6 .. black bishop takes bishop.
Rook to g8 check . King takes than queen to g 1 check. King moves . Than queen to g8
