Nice tenseful games, but also full of inaccuracies, missed opportunities and plain blunders by both players in crucial positions like in the final game, due to the time format.
All in all I think this is how chess degenerates.
It's obvious why the Greats of the past hardly ever played Blitz or rapid chess. Botvinnik for example had the opinion that it would cause damage to every serious chessplayer. You start guessing moves instead of properly calculating them.
But that is how chess is promoted nowadays, speed & adrenaline instead of quality. It is how it is.
I gotta say Magnus seemed very shook in the interview after the win, you could tell he really really hated that kid at that moment lol he didn't really give Denis any credit, either idk. Denis has the same type of positional style and he can hang a long long time, I think Magnus thinks Denis might be the one who takes his crown, or maybe im just hyping Denis to much in my head lol
So it is like poker, if you play too close to book theory you can become exploitable with any slipups.
