"Strength in truth" is a putler war regime motto.

ПОЧЕМУ ЛЕВИ ТАК ХОРОШО ГОВОРИТ ПО РУССКИЙ ? 😱

So when Henk posted the formula for his results, Kramnik never commented on them and instead wanted Henk to prove that he’s legit and knows what he’s talking about. The guy just walks into logical fallacies over and over and still thinks he’s making a solid claim.

Surprisingly the Monte Carlo guy's stats confirm Kramnik's point: a guy like Hikaru does 51 strikes over 55k games on average on such players. It implies 1 strike per 1078 games on average (55k/51). Hikaru played 3800+ games this year (as per Kramnik). So on average we should expect 3800/1078=3.5 strikes this year from Hikaru. Hikaru did 5 strikes only over the last 60 days.

The standard deviation over the year is 3.5 strikes (should match the expected number in the Poisson distribution). Apparently Hikaru has more than 10 strikes this year (to be checked). So Hikaru is at least 2 standard deviations away from the norm. Well the Monte Carlo guy proved the opposite – Hikaru's stat is far away from the norm.

Regardless of the not understanding probability, Kramnik just comes off very childish and petty, calling everyone who disagrees with him names and deleting their comments. He's pathetic.

If Magnus is content in playing Hikaru, then that says something

I believe this is what is referred to as interrogating the data. Good job.

PLOT TWIST: hikaru rips off his mask and its magnus

Hikaru got that hyper focus from no nut november

In a sense I can understand where Kramnik is coming from, although I am a fan of Hikaru and his exceptional abilities. Nonetheless, it may be worthwhile investigating, however, there should be regulations and certain protocols implemented before a final decision can be formally made, otherwise, as Levy rightfully said it could potentially be damaging to Hikarus career among others if this is the process going forward, thereby having the potential to damage the growth and appeal of chess to a wider audience. Also, while we use statistical analysis as a tool, it has it’s drawbacks and is not a definitive solution but can serve as a good indicator but remember there are always exceptions to certain probabilities and rules so nothing is certain. Very little in this world is set in stone and correlation does not equal causation. Good video Levy, nice to see an open minded take on this topic 😄

Who cares? There's no way to "prove" online cheating one way or another -so to heck with it and move on.

I highly suggest some chess matches between these 2 people. And i bet Hikaru could beat kramnik for some ridiculous streak in blitz or bullet.

Someone please get Standup Maths on this! I would love to see how Matt Parker would approach these numbers.

Dude thinks you need a degree to run a Monte Carlo simulation? Guaranteed he's never even smelt a book on probabilities.

The strict calculation for performance requires some losses in the calcs. Formula breaks if there are no losses. Hence, infinity.

I can't even remember the number of times I've watched Hikaru behind – completely lost, but in the closing seconds win on time or simply wins because of superior instantaneous moves.

What about chatgpt? It identifies as and is non-binary.

You say that chess drama is good for chess, but its really only good for your views and ad revenue.

Kramnik is clearly accusing Hikaru of cheating and also trying to hurt his name, Kramnik is a classic case of low self-esteem, yes even despite once being a world champion.

Wonder what will happen when Hikaru and Nepo meet at the Candidates. We saw Magnus forfeit the game against Hans in the CCT after the Sinquefeld Cup.

Why do you clickbait us with cheating when nobody said anything about cheating? Spreading gossip is bad for the soul. It hurts everybody involved. Dont fan flames because you might get burned.

The climb to the top will forever be a lonely race, because it leaves behind the bodies of our opponents.
But it's easier to pull someone from the top than to push someone in the back even lower.

Gotham never fails to include Levy in his videos

Also review accuracy is around 80-90 for most of the games which isnt bad but isnt extremely good like with someone who uses an engine, they would consistently score over 90… (I get around 80-85 accuracy as a bad player with standard openings)

I don't think that Hikaru should be above the law, and to be honest I don't think he currently is. Those streaks are impressive, even with the high number of games he is playing, but I don't think they are impossible. Especially if you take into account that he is happy to play the same person over and over, as well as only playing sober. You would need to do a full exploration of how Magnus and other players compare in those points, but it could explain it.

There's also the fact that, if you were going to cheat, doing it on a 3|0 game while streaming seems like one of the worst ways to do it.

Seems pretty clear that he wasn't cheating the probability is 50/50 either he wins or he doesnt

Usain Bolt won 45 consecutive races against the world elite. He competed against 7 other athletes on each occasion, meaning that in a sense, he won 7×45 consecutive races. 315 races!
    Kramnik:
"This statistic is interesting and should be investigated."

Brain chips are going to make it impossible to stop cheating

I'm not anywhere close to "good at chess" but isn't 500 elo diff kinda like a LOT?
I mean, extreme example, if GM hikaru now beats a 1000 elo opponent 7000 times in a row, does that mean he's cheating? or at what elo diff does it become "cheating" xD

Arguing with Kramnik seems to be like arguing with a Flat Earther.

non binary isnt a thing levy. It's make believe. Cmon sir.

Lol this is the most I’ve seen a Djokovic lose in my life!

What about Hikaru's losing streaks..if any

I am 2008 rated in bullet…I am confident I can beat 1500 players 20 times in a row.

Yeah, comparing the different players to each other makes it even more obvious that the difference who they play against and how many times they play those same opponents in a row. Magnus isn't a fan of playing against the same person 10 times in a row with the same result every time.

I got your book and it’s one of the best chess books I’ve ever read very helpful

Update: I beat my nine-year-old 100 out of 100. I must be cheating.

Bro how did you get a degree in statistics without going to class for two years xD

Kramnik just earned the Dunning-Kruger trophy for year 2023, poor guy.

Just being straight here, kramnik just jealous, that's the end of the story
