The Chess World Cup 2023 is a 206-player single-elimination chess tournament that will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 30 July to 24 August 2023.[1] It will be the 10th edition of the Chess World Cup. The top three finishers in the tournament will qualify for the 2024 Candidates Tournament.[2][3]
The tournament will be held in parallel with the Women’s Chess World Cup 2023.

I think magnus will take this one but i guess not for too long we are going to have a new champion some time this decade. Chess has become very competitive best of the players can't hold on for long anymore.

Per GM Naroditsky, Pragg has a superb discipline when it comes to chess preparation and studies. For GM Naroditsky a 2-hour daily chess routine is enough preparation for him for an upcoming event. But Pragg is a different specie altogether-he can study chess practically the whole day.

It was unusual that Magnus offered the draw. Usually he will continue till he wins. It showed that Magnus realized Pragg defense was very strong. It'd be better to spare more energy for the second battle against Pragg the very talented young guns, a new beast from India to anybody. 10:54

It really sucks that Magnus has food poisoning. You could see how sick and tired he was in the interview. Shitty hotel to allow that. Terrible if Magnus were to loose because of this.

Both are known for playing very precise endgames so assuming there are no crazy blunders in the early game, we might get to see some crazy engames
Todays players rely on chess engines to help them prepare their games. Fischer didnt have access to engines. He did it using his brain. Therefore Fischer is the best ever. Capablanca is second and Morphy is third.

Pragg, Gukesh and Erigaisi have been coached by Vishy Anand himself. They are all products of Vishy's chess academy. To be accepted as a student of Vishy's chess academy, one has to be below 18 years of age and should have gained an ELO of 2600 on their own. All these 3 got in there when they were 15 or less.
