Fedorchuk is my new chess hero. Justice is served.

I feel a great respect for Alireza. He had brought all theae players. Played. Overtook Wesley. Exposed the faulty rules of FIDE. Showed that he is a true gentleman by not wronging against a fellow player. I admire his courage. This will certainly create pressure in FIDE administration and once again amend the rules in a constructive manner.

happy for Wesley So as I've watch him stream and seems to me like a nice guy but this farming rating points is embarassing and tiresome and fide needs to fix it.

Ali reza was my favorite player but he lost my respect. He had a chance last time but he played for hours online with Naroditzki and lost in the last candidates. And now doing this!!

    Orchestrated tournament
    done by orchestrated players.

How did Alireza “lose respect” exactly? If he had not shown up for the final game wouldn’t he have qualified for the Candidate’s?

We have to get your first 1000 donation names from subscribers I like the thankyou very much budweiser

2nd: Hans Niemann = next Bobby Fischer

    – Wesley So = current Bobby Fischer

    – Bobby Fischer's ghost = old Bobby Fischer

    – Beth Harmon = Bobby Fischer in another universe

Each of these 4 'is a prodigy, had a rather dark childhood and is American'.

    Speaking of Wesley So

Hikaru's (the rapid WFRCC) wife almost beat Wesley So's (the classical WFRCC) girlfriend!

2023 USCC – Indeed Carissa Yip won and thanked Wesley So as her secret second in the 2023 USCC closing ceremony speech.

But in Carissa vs Atousa, Carissa was losing most of the game. Atousa just blundered in the end.

move 54 for black is an 8-move equality puzzle

    it's so sharp

1 – imagine WESLEY SO, THE NEPHEW OF BOBBY FISCHER, wins the candidates and then beats liren and then becomes the 1st ever player to become both classical WFRCC & classical WCC

unlikely unless the candidates suddenly becomes

    – classical 9LX

    – classical armageddon w/ auction

    – both of the above

    – knockout (either single or double i guess) w/tiebreaker not rapid but classical armageddon w/ auction

it's still unlikely even if liren drops out and there's a 2nd place thing again. but still a fun thought lol.

    1.1
Actually another fun thought is Liren drops out and then Wesley So Vs Ian Nepomniachtchi in both 2024 WFRCC finals if it's classical and 2024 classical wcc. Then people will start to see this is a better rivalry than Hikaru Vs Magnus in rapid chess or rapid 9LX. (I don't necessarily agree with them but Hikaru Vs Magnus has a Wikipedia page. So please don't comment anything like 'Magnus owns Hikaru' or whatever. The point isn't to compare Magnus w/ Hikaru or Nepo w/ Wesley. The point is that Magnus & Hikaru are on the same side 'allies of evil' just as Nepo & Wesley are on the same side 'axis of evil'.)

    2

besides as far h uncle bobby is concerned.

2a – wesley has nothing to prove in regular chess anymore

2b – wesley has nothing to prove in rapid 9LX

2c – wesley has something to prove in classical 9LX if it's next gen. imagine hans vs wesley in 2024 classical WFRCC finals. it's like bobby fischer vs anatoly karpov (bobby fischer vs garry kasparov was the 2019 WFRCC finals, proving ultimately that bobby would've EASILY defeated garry in classical 9LX)

    3

ok i've been complaining for 2 years that wesley didn't get a wildcard in the candidates for 9LX reasons even though fabi & hikaru got wildcards in the 2019 WFRCC quarter-finals (equivalent of 9LX candidates) for chess reasons.

(yes, hikaru too. 2018 unofficial is only 2 players & both were chess wildcards. but unfortunately no, magnus indeed deserved a wildcard into the 2019 WFRCC semi-finals)

but i guess that's now moot.

    4

but still wesley should get a wildcard in the 2024 WFRCC if it's going to be classical (at least 60min) again like 2019 not rapid in 2022 (32.5min).

Or whatever don't give Wesley as wildcard but let all tiebreakers be classical 9LX AW/A and then Wesley So will win the whole tournament EASILY.

    5

finally, magnus garry hikaru daniil, veselin, liren, piers morgan, george bush are bad guys (allies of evil). wesley, bobby, hans, sergey, vlad, nepo, andrew tate, donald trump are good guys (axis of evil).

so they're both evil in different ways: allies of evil vs axis of evil as described in:

    ARNSi0cPu60

    like tax collector vs pharisee,

like (iran iraq north korea) vs (US UK Japan Australia)

wow i can't believe someone actually reached the end of this comment. well thanks for reading. merry christmas, happy new year, and happy holidays

"Interesting" to see that the time control for this match in the FIDE archives (90' for 40 + 30' + 30") does not match what was actually used (90' for the game + 30"). I wonder why?

The eval bar showed the other guy was winning g by a lot and he took a draw. Showed the comp
    Was rigged. Disgusting

Absolutely disgusting show by Alireza, I am through with this guy. Pathetic! …and come on Agadmator, …a lot of points were just handed to him by his opponents in the course of these games. You are behind the curve in not pointing this out, … other channels do, and quite eloquently so, backing it up with proper analysis.

    What was the Christmas miracle??

I haven't followed chess closely, but there sure seems to a lot of drama queens out there.

Loving this video titles lol the level of shade

wesley and alireza should play each other for the candidates spot. would be a great match

I thinknid rather he won and they had an argument about how just doing these kinda things are. Arranging rating points tournaments seems unjust

After seeing all the backlash, Alireza purposely didn't go through with this scam. He knew he would never live down his disgrace if he took the spot this way

Cheap cheap attempt to manipulate a flawed system to oust the legit top running candidate. I've lost a lot of respect for Alireza, regardless of whether he operated within the confines of the rules. It's still shameless and everyone knows it, including himself.

What's the point of farming rating points? All it proves is you're good at farming.

I just came back from a 5 month deployment and I can't state how much I missed having my morning coffee while watching your videos.

While Alizera’s sad day is objectively funny, I hope we as a chess community don’t forget ultimately this situation is FIDE’s fault. They’re so comically incompetent they actually make FIFA look good.

So if Alireza had withdrawn from the tournament before this game he would qualify for the Candidates? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

That just confirms what I tried to say earlier – getting 6 out of 6 even against "weak" GMs 250 points lower than the super-GM is difficult to impossible. Someone will hold a draw. The tournament pretty much finished the way Elo says it should, Alireza winning by a lopsided margin but not 6 out of 6. The whole Elo system is structured so that regardless of what strength player you play, your rating is supposed to reflect your strength. You can't easily "farm" rating points from easy players (unless they throw matches), and you also can't easily lose a lot of points playing people stronger than you.

What an irony: we are celebrating games of a super grandmaster player against outdated grandmasters.

What Alireza is expecting out of these games could be something but not honest sportsmanship

Old european GMs do not sell rating points and GM norms by outright throwing every game. They sell rating and norms by bending over backwards to give the kids indirectly paying their appearance fees every chance. Like accepting a draw in a winning position.

Black is winning but they agreed for a draw. This is blasphemy.

He needs to be investigating for throwing this match

Hopefully next time his opponents actually try and win…

Lost respect for alireza. Playing dirty chess and got "ownplayed"

    Alireza can't even 6-0 2550 type players

Fisher goes 6-0 in back to back Candidates matches. Truly remarkable.

Too many sad people in the comments. A certain group of people are toxic wherever they go. After Instagram, they polluting YouTube.

I honestly think that Alireza´s tournament was a bit fishy and I have lost respect for him with this attempt to smuggle himself into candidates. I think it would be very bad for chess if all players started to create their own tournaments with the sole goal of farming ELO from objectively significantly weaker players!

Who gets Magnus' spot since he doesn't seem to want it?

I just hope FIDE steps up and decides not to accept the rating points of this disgrace.

If there is a system that people can legally exploit it, then it is the system to blame not the people. Thanks FIDE for the circus.

Am i the only one who's not intersted in alirez's games anymore ???
    Kinda disgusted actually

I played a few tournaments against lower rated players, I think it’s rolling the dice. Trying to farm lower rated players is doable on paper but in real life it’s hard. One slip or if your opponent just player well and is ok with a draw it’s hard to not lose rating points.

So he should have just not played the match and he would have qualified? What a dumb system…

I’m honestly a bit stunned. No way I thought this would happen. Glad, but stunned.

Makes we wonder whether FIDE told them the tournament would not be rated. Hard to see FIDE actually stepping in to this farce, but who knows.

just finish the game by yourself… 10 sec work

i wonder how far the french federation set this tournament for their champion who disappeared most of year 2023. a manipulation try ?
