you can get check mate in less then three moves
In all fairness, in this case 2… Bd6+, 2… Bc7+ and 2… Bb8+ all also win, just more slowly, since after 3. Kg1 Black has some check on the a7-g1 diagonal that must be met by Rf2, and then Black just takes with check and either … Qg1# or … Bc7+ and … Qg3#.

What I call the boomerang is actually when you capture something with a knight with discovered attack and if they take the knight you are happy cause you can capture with the piece behind the knight and if they take this piece you take back with your knight…
