First time I saw en passant I thought it was a bug on the chess game I was playing on, I was going to report a bug to the app developers until I found an article explaining this move,
But this move can cause arguing when you're playing with really casual players (like me against my girlfriend) she thought I was just taking her for a ride…

Backstory?
En Passant = In Passing. It can only be played on a pawn piece during their initial 2-square move because that is literally the only time when a pawn can get next to another pawn without being in the striking range. Therefore the rule was created to address the weakness allowing for the pawn to take it anyway.
It is a secret move because not many people actually use this rule and isn't allowed in most tournaments.
