i honestly cannot care less about chess๐Ÿ˜…

A champion is not just by winning a championship its a character which brought ding today here, congratulations ding ๐Ÿ but dont worry nepo you belongs from a country with a history of champions but today someone had becomed the first one for his country.

I hope nepo wins the candidates again and becomes champion sometime in his career. After Carlsen he is the one that comes to mind as the dominator… I also hope we see rapport win the candidates and challenge Ding. Rapport vs Ding or Nepo vs Ding pt2 for the next title would be absolutely amazing

Ding and Ian both played incredible chess throughout the past couple of weeks. It was neck and neck right until the very end. I will never forget this world championship. Ian fidgeting with the pieces, hands shaking, is a heartbreaking moment, but all the same I feel incredibly happy for Ding. He wasnโ€™t even supposed to be in this match, and the fact he got in and then won is amazing. Great chess played by both players and I canโ€™t wait for the next WCC!

    Ian's fingers were shaking ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข

I'm happy for Ding. The overall quality was poor of course, but it is refreshing to see human element (errors and emotions) back in top level chess. Nepo has only himself to blame. He should have finished the job early, when he easily could have.

the 2nd time in 50 years a new champ becomes the ''World'' GM while the ex remained undefeated. Will Magnus ever want this title back? I'd say no because he''s beaten both these players over the years. Mags will play a yet to be GM, a future 2900 champion

I feel that's the difference between Magnus and the rest. Nerves of steel.

China is literally lost the chess ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜€

Nepo shaking a lot with pieces after defeat.
Maybe too cold in the room?

We has seen it all in this WCC. Fierce battle, Ding frozen in a winning position and lost it all (and we thought it is the most heart breaking one), then the last classical match with Ian maximing the playtime pushing Ding to play perfectly to prevent sudden turn of event and lastly this..

Ian is almost confidence in getting the last draw before blitz but then Ding chosen to go all in with Rb6 on the last repeatative move. Ian stunned and are running out of time to figure out the best counter, faith flippled on their heads and Ian who are always the one with time lead now in danger of being flag unable to find the only saving move.

The realization after his last take is absolutely heartbreaking and devastating. To know you have been almost always in the driving seat and then be thrown at the very very last second with a shocker.

Brutal by Ding, but it is what it need to be done with what is at stake. The hand shaking, the pieces falling all over, unable to stand right. Ding sure know how it feels and surely be very sorry to Ian at that time.

Kudos to Ian that he still accept the 2 handshakes by Ding, and for Ding to offer those 2.

Nothing will be able to comfort Ian. 2 times world champion contender. Hopefully he will gather himself and get going for the third time with a better outcome.

    Absolutely brilliant WCC.

the amazing ding lerin you deserved to be the world champion congrats.

0:33 was emotional moment lan shaking his because of tension of losing the fide world championship game ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข

I am a Ding supporter and love him, but I also love Nepo. Honestly, it would be a cosmic injustice if Nepo doesnโ€™t take the crown one day.

how much money Ding earn for this match?

At first I was likeโ€ฆDANG! And then I was likeโ€ฆDING!

I almost cried when i saw lan resign๐Ÿฅบ

0:34 it was truly heartbreaking when I saw this video i literally
Cried inside Ian was one of most favourite players i literally can't imagine the feeling of Ian
    Love you Ian

๐Ÿ›Ž๏ธ๐Ÿ›Ž๏ธ๐Ÿ›Ž๏ธ Ding! Ding! Ding! So inspiring in victory and yet such a shame one had to depart vanquished.

I'm not the biggest fan of Ian but seeing him push those pieces and his hands shaking.. So close yet so far from being World Champion. To be that close to something you always dreamt of having.. and it all crumbling down in seconds.. One of the most heartbreaking things I'll ever see. I hope he can recover from this. The piece that fell was a knight and the piece that he was holding and that he put up was also a knight. 1 knight fell, who was Ian and 1 knight went through a tough battle and won.. that was Ding Liren

In the magnus era becoming world champion is more than a miracle.

    0.38 pure emotional moment ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ

โ€œChess is just a gameโ€ ~ said the normal person, but as profesional chess player, chess would also heartbreaking, iโ€™m feeling sad about ian because iโ€™ve been feeling the same. Congratulation Ding liren & Ian, you are both brilliant chess player

Why resign such an important game? Continue fighting and hope for a small mistake by opponent to take advantage of.

ding is such a sweetheart. love how the little personality we see from him, he is so sincere.

Ding Liren is a worthy FIDE World Chess Champion 2023 and his demeanor and calm mind are much admired.
