the fact that the black king found a way to run to the centre of the board at the very start and stay there, fail to be protected for the entire game, and then still force a checkmate is truly brilliant stuff

There should be a version of chess where if you checkmate you lose and if you cause a draw you lose
Alternatively consider having them play the worst possible move that doesn't hang mate. Less ambiguity when multiple moves would allow mate in x

Finally a stockfish I can beat
So is this Worstfish like was done by Suckerpinch, or does it properly max-min under the assumption that the opponent will also play the worst move? Eval bar always assumes that best play will occur after the current state but if these players are really trying to lose they need to understand that their opponents are trying to lose too.
One example of Worstfish's failings: at 4:00 white fails to spot Qc6+ Kb4 Qc4+ forcibly losing the queen, and instead assumes that simply hanging the queen is enough and opts to hang it with check. This is not enough. You are not forcibly killing yourself but simply offering a blade pointed at your throat.
