The 2023 ChessKid Cup is the third event of the Champions Chess Tour! Top grandmasters and open qualifiers will fight to join Hikaru Nakamura, Fabiano Caruana and Nodirbek Abdusattorov in the division stage and compete for a total prize pot of $235,000, plus Tour points and a ticket to the Tour Playoffs for the winner. The ChessKid Play-In features a nine-round Swiss tournament and a “Match Play” stage.

Please mention the total size of the field (duh), and also a little about 'swiss stage', such as: 'Although the initial field is too large for a complete round-robin, in a swiss system, each player will play different opponents in each of the 9 rounds, and the highest total-scoring players will move on….', with a little about how pairings are chosen. Think in advance how to convey this useful information concisely and accurately, instead of just repeating 'swiss stage' vaguely. You should not assume your whole audience is that familiar with the scheme. You have plenty of time to explain well.
