brilliants are sacrifices and great or best moves thats how all these brilliants were made

Same game if we reduce rating it shows estimated elo reduced also

Brilliant moves are just the best moves at a stockfish deep depth level

I would like to show u a game with 2 brilliant

My best guess as to how brilliant moves seem to be decided is either >4 points of material for a mate, or the only possible good move in a position where everything else leaves you screwed

Are brilliant moves just moves that are way beyond your current elo? Because I used to see some dumbass brilliants years back and now nothing

My view is always that if I actually planned the tactic and I get a brilliant move than it counts, but if it was completely accidental I don't count it myself

It is definitely elo based. I had two brilliant moves in a row, but when I checked the game again after going up around 200 elo, suddenly only one of them was brilliant.

The obscure brilliant Bishop move by Remedy7284 is clearing the path for the Rook to give checkmate on the last move of the game. That is brilliant deep look-ahead. (haha)

From what I’ve seen, most Brilliant moves that I’ve seen are only brilliant because the opponent immediately follows with an inaccuracy or even a blunder. My theory? Brilliant moves are considered as such because the engine assumes you "read" your opponents response and put yourself in a better position than simply playing the top engine move would’ve. I could be wrong, but that’s just what I’ve seen. But what are your thoughts?

I once got a briliant move for attacking opponets king while "ignoring" that a pawn was thretning a free night.

Brilliant move algo is connected to ELO. It is basically an unexpected good move. for a low rated player it is easier to get brilliant moves because algo doesn't expect much from them.

I think it's based on historical data of previous games which isn't entirely the most logical at certain levels but take into account behavioral patterns so it's more human.

I had a brilliant moves and it was like – 'That was really hard to find!' It was bishop takes a pawn which was ONE SQUARE AWAY

21:32 the reason the pawn marching forward is a brilliant move is because it inspires a whole YouTube video

I've had a game where i got 6 brilliant moves in a row. It then ended with draw by repeating moves.

I swear the 600 ELO games I play are way more difficult than these 600 ELO games😂😂

I checked kasparov- petrosian the quiet ra2 is brilliant

And here I am at 1550 with no brilliant moves (at least in games I analyzed)

The pawn allows the trapped night to jump out and escape.

I think it might be because you can save the knight on a1 after retaking the bishop (on the 300 elo brilliancy)

Sacrificing a bishop to save your queen and take opponents: no brilliant
Blundering a knight while up 8 point of material: absolute genius

Wait, you guys are getting 2 exclamation marks on a game reciew? I only get double question marks. I think my game is confused or something.

Friend of mine played against me. On his game review, he got a brilliant, but on my version of the game review, his move was shown as a great move, not a brilliant.

I once got a brilliant move cuz I castled and my bishop was hanging, I just had a blinds pot for it but it was considered brilliant because if he took the rook I could trap his queen en be up 3 pints of material

I can tell you EXACTLY why White hunt the Knight. All he saw was the Check Fork, and he went hard for it… right into a grinder of a Bishop/Pawn flank on the poor Knight.

But guess who is still alive? Guess, Levy. GUESS.

That's right. The one, the only, Mr. Black King Knight that ran back home at the start. Pretty smart horsey.

Oh one if my games I had this took sacrifice that 4 moves down the line including an en passant, which led to a queen capture and it wasn’t even a great move, just the best move

Really no comments about the haircut HAUSHSUSHEUE love it

To be fair on Game 1, most 'Low Level' Chess Games are lost by NOT FINDING THAT ONE MOVE. In this case the ONLY move, kept leading to the next ONLY move on each turn… a chain he had to get exactly right to win.

If he does literally anything else in any of those spots… he loses.

Now it can be argued how many of these moves was 'brilliant', but the fact is whether but dumb luck or deep evaluation of the next 5 moves… he found the entire chain to victory when on the edge of defeat. That… is pretty brilliant.

Today’s stare plus the new fresh cut was gold. 8/10

I think pawn to d3 is a brilliant move because it gives an escape square for the knight which was otherwise trapped in the corner

Maybe that last one is because the pawn move allowed the knight to escape the corner safely.
