Huge congrats! Love how you have grown mentally these years. 10 years ago you would have not probably doing recaps and be very focusing on the tournament without talking to anyone about it. Nowadays you’re a grown man, lot more wiser and humble. Now you don’t have crazy expectations and still you’re rocking it. In your state of mind, you’re focused on winning but at the same time you don’t care. First a streamer then a chess player if you know what I mean 😆. I hope you keep that mindset positive and openly to the incoming chess positions and wish you the championship. Once again you’re showing that if you focus on classical you can win and I hope you do it. Your chess career have been successfully thanks to your YouTube channel and it’s still not over. Congrats Nakas! It's amazing that you can play at this level while producing educational content at the same time. The other top players would be sitting in their rooms having an orgy with their seconds and a chess engine trying to plan their next game. I think that part of why you're playing so well is because you're relaxed and not overly invested (and I emphasise "not overly") in your tournament results. I feel you have a healthy mix of respect and contempt for your tournament results. If you take that same attitude into the Candidates I think you will play really well. What I really like is that – unlike some other Super GMs – Hikaru kept a very transparent mind about his intentions. It’s easy to sit on the fence because you could potentially not do well the next day, but it takes some balls to communicate ambitions and stick to it. I hope he can go all the way 💪
